How to Make Homemade Lip Balm

How to Make Homemade Lip Balm

How to Make Homemade Lip Balm Confession: I’m a lip balm addict. I’ve been wearing store-bought lip balms since middle school, and I LOVE the minty types that are so intensely mint flavored that my lips tingle a bit. I’ve been perfecting my DIY Lip Balm recipe for over a year now. I’m kinda a perfectionist when it comes to my DIY projects, and I refused to post my lip balm recipe until I was sure it was EXACTLY the way I wanted it. I tried tons and TONS of DIY lip balm recipes from across the internet, and they were either too soft, too hard, or too bland tasting. However, I finally made the perfect batch of homemade lip balm about 6 months ago. Then, when I ran out recently, I made another batch with the same recipe. I needed to be absolutely sure that my recipe was perfect before I posted it here for you all. I am proud to say that my Homemade Lip Balm recipe works...

DIY Lavender Mint Body Scrub

DIY Lavender Mint Body Scrub

Make Your Own Lavender Mint Body Scrub Lavender is one of the MOST popular smells for cosmetic and household purposes. Both women and men seem to love this stuff. I even read once that many men prefer the smell of lavender to that of chocolate chip cookies! Lavender is full of powerful medicinal qualities, the most important medicinal benefit being that it is great for helping you relax. Click here to learn more about the medicinal benefits of Lavender.  I grow my own beautiful lavender using seeds from here. I made this lavender mint body scrub for a friend who is obsessed with lavender. Lavender is great for your skin and I added some mint because I adore the tingling sensation it adds to my body scrubs. She loved it, and if you love lavender, you will love this too! While you CAN buy body scrubs at the store, who knows what extra chemical junk is in them, and it’s also super cheap to make them at home! This...

DIY Cinnamon Vanilla Body Scrub

DIY Cinnamon Vanilla Body Scrub

Make Your Own Cinnamon Vanilla Body Scrub As promised (here), I have a recipe for a delightful body scrub that does NOT need essential oils. I  know how it goes: you scroll through countless DIY Beauty recipes and the darn things all use essential oils. You don’t own them (yet) and you want to make a DIY Beauty recipe NOW with what you already have in your home. For you non-essential oil users, this Body scrub is for you. For you essential oil users (learn more about essential oils here by the way), you can make this body scrub AND add essential oils to it. I added those with the  ‘optional’ section.  This DIY Cinnamon Vanilla Body Scrub would make a wonderful gift for loved ones OR a wonderful scrub for yourself. It’s got ‘warm and cozy’ written all over it. It’s so deliciously spice-scented that you might be tempted to eat it. My husband used it on his dry hands and asked me “can I just lick this off my...

DIY Lemon Mint Body Scrub

DIY Lemon Mint Body Scrub

Make Your Own Lemon Mint Body Scrub As a tomboy with no sisters, I have almost zero understanding of beauty products. For the past year or so, I kept seeing all these pretty looking DIY “sugar scrubs” “salt scrubs” and “body scrubs” on Pinterest, and I had no clue what they were for or how to use them. So please forgive me if my recipe and/or instructions seem super simple… While you CAN buy body scrubs at the store, who knows what extra chemical junk is in them, and it’s also super cheap to make them at home! This recipe uses essential oils (learn more about essential oils here), but I promise you, I will be posting a non-essential oil body scrub recipe soon as well. (Updated: Click here for my Cinnamon Vanilla Body Scrub recipe that does NOT require essential oils!)That way, no matter what supplies you have at home, you should be able to make your own body scrub with some basic kitchen ingredients.  I love trying...
